Opal Photography was formed by Stephen Short after years of taking pictures as a hobby. Eventually the hobby naturally progressed into a business, with family and friends his first customers. Stephen re-invested his initial earnings in state of the art digital cameras, studio equipment and the computer hardware and software necessary to really get the business off the ground.
Stephen's plan was to produce high quality wedding photography but for lower fees than currently charged by others in the highly priced market. The strategy was an instant success and rightly so. Our professional approach to all weddings no matter how big or small and our transparent pricing policy made us a popular choice among couples planning their wedding on a budget.
